Anchor Node was founded by ten developers who each have over 20 years of experience at major gaming companies such as Nexon and NCSoft. Now in its third year, Anchor Node aims to usher in a new 'Renaissance' for the gaming industry by maximizing productivity in this labor-intensive sector through AI technology. The company seeks to allow domestic game developers to focus on creativity by reducing development costs, especially as Chinese game companies aggressively expand with low labor costs.
Anchor Node began its innovation with classic games whose outdated graphics had reached the end of their lifecycle. By recreating graphics using Anchor Node's AI technology, the company believes it can ensure both code stability and maintain fun and commercial appeal. This approach takes into account the unique challenges of the gaming industry, where the probability of success for new releases is low and it is difficult to create bug-free, proven-fun games.
The key to making this possible is the AI solution 'GameAIfy.' By inputting a desired concept, images are automatically generated. Anchor Node has developed numerous casual games by training AI to learn intellectual property (IP) characters and stories. A prime example is 'Snap Town,' a new title created by revamping the source code of 'My City,' originally released by Nexelon in 2017. Other titles include 'Italian Brainrot: Spot the Difference' and 'Card of Legend.'
Anchor Node is actively pursuing IP swap projects and plans to make GameAIfy the world's leading game development software-as-a-service (SaaS) tool within a few years. Won Jaeho, CEO of Anchor Node, stated, "We will lead business model innovation for the Korean gaming industry, which is currently facing a crisis."
