Seongju County Completes Boundary Delimitation for Seven Districts of 2025 Cadastral Resurvey... 1,502 Parcels Targeted

Resolution of Land Disputes and Enhancement of Land Value Expected
Objections Can Be Filed Within 60 Days After Notification

Seongju County (Governor Lee Byunghwan) announced on the 18th that it held a Boundary Delimitation Committee meeting for seven districts of the "2025 Cadastral Resurvey Project" in the county office conference room on the 16th, where the final review and resolution of land boundaries took place.

This committee meeting was chaired by Judge Woo Youngsik of the Daegu District Court Western Branch, with participation from relevant experts and committee members.

The review covered a total of seven districts and 1,502 parcels: Yuseo 1 District in Seonnam-myeon, Baegun 2 District in Suryun-myeon, Unjeong 1 and 2 Districts in Byeokjin-myeon, Yongseong 1 and 2 Districts in Chojeon-myeon, and Jangsan 1 District in Wolhang-myeon.

These areas are so-called "cadastral inconsistency zones," where the actual land use does not match the cadastral maps, causing inconvenience for landowners in exercising their property rights and using the land.

The county explained that, in this review, it established reasonable boundaries by comprehensively considering the actual boundaries, boundaries agreed upon by landowners, and land use patterns.

The determined boundaries will be individually notified to landowners and other stakeholders.

Objections may be filed within 60 days from the date of notification, and if no objection is raised within this period, the boundaries will be finalized.

After the boundaries are finalized, an appraisal will be conducted for parcels where the area has increased or decreased.

Landowners whose parcel area has decreased will receive compensation, while those whose parcel area has increased will be required to pay an adjustment fee, as part of the subsequent procedures.

A Seongju County official stated, "The cadastral resurvey project is a resident-oriented initiative that resolves land disputes between neighbors and increases land value by eliminating landlocked parcels. We ask for the continued interest and cooperation of our residents to ensure the smooth completion of the project."
