This program was designed and operated with the aim of strengthening the capabilities of retired middle-aged and senior residents in the county. After completing training as reading coaching activists (reading aloud and post-reading activities), participants can visit various local institutions such as children's libraries and welfare centers to engage in social contribution activities and explore reemployment opportunities.

The training was held every Wednesday from November 12 to December 17, for a total of six sessions, with 20 learners participating. Participants completed field-oriented training focused on understanding literacy for rapport building, as well as the basic knowledge and practical skills required to become Silver Reading Activists. The program recorded a high completion rate with 95% attendance.

Jeon Jinseon, Governor of Yangpyeong County, stated, "This program is expected to provide new career opportunities for residents preparing for the second act of their lives after retirement, while also contributing to strengthening the childcare capabilities of the middle-aged and senior population. We will continue to promote a variety of lifelong learning policies to help residents adapt to the rapidly changing social environment."
