President Lee Jaemyung praised the police during the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's work briefing, saying, "This time, the police responded well to international crime. I want to commend you for doing an excellent job."

On the morning of December 17, at the Sejong Convention Center in Sejong, President Lee made these remarks during the work briefing of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Personnel Management, the National Police Agency, and the National Fire Agency.


President Lee stated, "The Ministry of the Interior and Safety and related agencies are responsible for public safety," and added, "Thanks to your dedication in the field over the past six months, it seems we have managed to avoid any major incidents or accidents."


He went on to emphasize, "Depending on how you perform your duties, our citizens will either live safe lives or face insecurity. Your role is crucial. Please take pride in your work and do your best."


The 'Korea Task Force,' a joint operation between Korean and Cambodian police, recently raided a criminal district in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, and apprehended 51 Koreans involved in 'scam' crimes. On December 4, the police also arrested 28 members of two scam crime organizations in Thailand and Cambodia through the global joint operation 'Breaking Chains.'
