Focusing on Completing the 8th Administration's Core Policies
Applications for Desired Positions Accepted Until December 22
On December 17, the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced the direction and schedule for its regular personnel appointments for the first half of 2026. Through these appointments, the province aims to complete the core policy achievements of the 8th popularly elected administration, ensure a stable transition to the 9th administration, and prepare for a new leap forward.
This round of appointments will focus on maximizing results by ensuring continuity of work while strategically placing talent with the drive and expertise needed to address key issues, including revitalizing the local economy, strengthening the functions of special self-governing autonomy, accelerating the energy and digital transformation, and securing international logistics competitiveness.
Employees who have contributed to generating results through proactive administration, work in demanding or unpopular departments, or the execution of key tasks will be given preferential treatment in promotions or assignments to motivate staff and enhance organizational vitality.
Conversely, employees who have disrupted the work environment through abuse of authority, neglect of duty, or passive administration will face personnel disadvantages to establish discipline within the public service.
The province plans to strengthen its organic cooperation system with the central government and enhance organizational capacity and stable workforce management through balanced and effective personnel exchanges with the provincial council and administrative cities.
The schedule for the regular personnel appointments in the first half of 2026 will begin with the application period for desired positions from December 17 to 22, followed by the public announcement of promotion review candidates for all ranks on December 31, advance notice of personnel appointments on January 15, and the presentation of appointment letters on January 19.
