"Hoping for Tangible Results in the Field"
The Korean Federation of Small and Medium Business expressed its support for the vision of "Restoring the Growth Ladder for SMEs, Startups, and Small Business Owners," which was announced by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups during its work report on December 17, 2025.
In a statement released on the same day, the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business said, "Until now, small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners have faced growth limitations amid sluggish domestic demand and external uncertainties, with only 3.1% of small enterprises and 1.6% of medium-sized enterprises among the 8.3 million SMEs managing to grow. In this context, the latest announcement clearly demonstrates the government's commitment to supporting the growth of SMEs, startups, and small business owners."
The Federation also evaluated the four key initiatives announced by the Ministry as "policy tasks that reflect the needs of the field." In its work report, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups presented four major initiatives: revitalizing local economies and small business owners, promoting startups and ventures, driving innovation and growth in manufacturing SMEs, and building a business ecosystem based on fairness and mutual growth.
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business stated, "We hope that this announcement will not remain a mere declaration, but will quickly lead to tangible results that can be felt in the field. The Federation will also work closely with the government to support the sustainable growth of SMEs."
