FSN announced on December 17 that Daedamo.com, its subsidiary, has surpassed 440,000 members on 'Daedamo,' the largest hair loss community in Korea.
Daedamo is the largest domestic community for sharing real experiences and information about hair loss treatment, medication, and hair transplantation. The platform boasts overwhelming data assets, including 4.55 million accumulated hair loss-related posts and approximately 200,000 non-face-to-face quotation requests. Leveraging this competitive edge, it has maintained the No. 1 position in the medical community category for 10 consecutive years. FSN’s subsidiary Boosters incorporated Daedamo.com as a consolidated subsidiary in 2022 and this year succeeded in acquiring 100% ownership.
For Daedamo, the proportion of members in their 20s and 30s has expanded to 60%. In the past, the largest demographic was those in their 30s and 40s. Recently, the influx of younger generations has increased rapidly as the onset age of hair loss has decreased, not only due to genetic factors but also because of stress and changes in living environments.
Having established a solid position in the domestic market, Daedamo is accelerating its expansion into the global market. In September, it launched a global service for overseas users, providing real-time translations of approximately 880,000 posts-including reviews of hair loss medications and hair transplantation-in Japanese, English, and Chinese. In addition, Daedamo Japan has started attracting foreign patients in earnest by beta launching a counseling service based on Line chat.
An FSN representative stated, "Daedamo is evolving beyond a simple community to become a platform that aggregates information and experiences throughout the entire hair loss treatment process," adding, "The vast user-generated content and data held by Daedamo are core assets that can drive structural growth across the entire hair loss treatment market."
