More than 60 executives and employees from 29 companies that participated in Gumi City's business support programs attended the event, sharing key achievements in areas such as technology development, commercialization linkage, and improvements to the business environment.

Throughout this year, Gumi City implemented a variety of business support programs, achieving tangible results in promoting the growth and operational stability of local companies.

The city provided a total of 173 billion won in financial support to 567 local small and medium-sized enterprises, easing their funding burdens and helping to stabilize their operations.

The business growth support system was also completely overhauled. By establishing a new support framework tailored to each stage of business growth-covering small, mid-sized, and leading companies-the city provided a total of 2 billion won to 75 companies, supporting the discovery of promising SMEs and strengthening their competitiveness.

By assigning dedicated project managers to each company for one-on-one support in responding to national funding proposals, nine companies succeeded in securing a total of 3.8 billion won in national funding.

The city also focused on building a startup ecosystem. Through the establishment of a three-stage one-stop startup support system-covering early-stage, innovation, and global expansion-Gumi is supporting stable commercialization and revenue growth for startups. In addition, a 10 billion won venture fund has been created to secure region-led growth capital and to discover and nurture promising startups.

In addition, based on industry-academia-research collaboration, the city launched the 'Gumi Youth Local Internship Program' for the first time, providing 61 local young people with job opportunities and practical experience at 27 companies.

To respond to the rapidly changing economic environment, Gumi City operates an Economic Trend Analysis Center and hosted 'Design Festa 2025,' the only specialized design exhibition in North Gyeongsang Province, further promoting the creation of an industrial design innovation ecosystem that integrates design into an advanced manufacturing-focused city.

During the event, presentations were given by outstanding companies to share how business support achievements are being applied in the field. Three companies-Jaeyoung Tech, Oseong Electronics, and Colorlen-participated, presenting their experiences utilizing Gumi City's business support programs and the resulting improvements in their operations, drawing significant interest from attendees.

In the communication session that followed the case presentations, a variety of opinions were discussed, focusing on difficulties faced in business management and the need for institutional improvements.

Gumi City plans to actively utilize the opinions shared at the event in developing customized business support policies that reflect the needs of local companies going forward.

Gumi Mayor Kim Jangho stated, "It is important that business support policies are not limited to institutional support but are firmly established in the field," adding, "I hope that policies reflecting the needs of businesses will continue to be implemented in the future."
