'Chateau Mont-Perat 2023' and Limited Quantities Available at GS25

J Wine Company announced on December 17 that it will be selling the 'Chateau Talbot 2023' vintage, a fourth-growth Bordeaux Grand Cru Classe wine most beloved by Koreans, at GS25.

'Chateau Talbot' is a wine named after General John Talbot, a hero of the Hundred Years' War. It became widely known in Korea as the wine enjoyed by coach Guus Hiddink during the 2002 World Cup, earning the nicknames "Hiddink's Wine" and "the nation's Grand Cru." It is regarded as the most familiar and beloved Grand Cru wine among Koreans.

The 2023 vintage of Chateau Talbot received top-tier ratings, scoring 95 points from wine critic James Suckling and 95 points from the wine magazine VINOUS. Notably, the 2023 vintage features a high blend ratio of Cabernet Sauvignon at 77%, resulting in a full-bodied wine with firm tannins and an elegant structure. It boasts a deep ruby color, subtle herbal notes, complex aromas of black forest berries and dark cherries, and a delicate, spicy finish, making it highly praised as a perfect wine for meals.

Additionally, the 'Chateau Mont-Perat 2023' vintage, which gained explosive popularity after being compared to the legendary rock group Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in the famous manga 'Drops of God,' will also be available in limited quantities.

The 'Chateau Mont-Perat Red,' described in 'Drops of God' as evoking the sound of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' upon tasting, is a dry still wine with a rich and powerful character. It is recommended for consumers looking to experience high-value Bordeaux wines. The 'Chateau Mont-Perat Blanc' is a dry still wine that features fresh fruit aromas and a complex minerality.
