Store Products Delivered Within One Hour via Quick Commerce Service
Number of Eligible Items Up 80% Compared to Initial Launch
Free Delivery Promotion from December 18 to 24
On December 17, SSG.com announced that it will expand the operating regions of its proprietary quick commerce service, 'BaroQuick', to 60 locations and run a free delivery promotion for one week from the 18th to the 24th.
BaroQuick is a service that delivers products from Emart stores, such as groceries and daily necessities, within a 3-kilometer radius of each store using motorcycles operated by delivery agencies, with delivery times of around one hour. During the promotion period, two free BaroQuick delivery coupons will be provided per account (ID), which can be used for purchases of 30,000 won or more.
Previously, SSG.com launched its quick commerce service at 19 Emart locations in September and has since gradually expanded the number of participating stores. As of this month, immediate delivery services are available at 60 locations nationwide. Currently, BaroQuick is available at 16 Emart stores in the Seoul area, 19 in Gyeonggi, 1 in Gangwon, 5 in Chungcheong, 8 in Jeolla, and 11 in Gyeongsang. SSG.com, in collaboration with Emart, has also expanded the number of BaroQuick-eligible products by approximately 80% compared to September, now offering around 11,000 items.
An SSG.com representative stated, "We have prepared a free delivery benefit so that customers can use the BaroQuick service without burden as the year-end approaches," adding, "Next year, we plan to expand the number of BaroQuick operating hubs to 90 so that even more customers can conveniently use the service."
