Nespresso announced on December 16 that it will launch the "Samra Origins" collection in collaboration with the world-renowned artist The Weeknd.

This collaboration was born from The Weeknd's desire to honor his African roots and Nespresso's philosophy of valuing the essence and experience of coffee. The collection, named after The Weeknd's mother, Samra Tesfaye, is an attempt to encapsulate the heritage of both brands and bring together the essence of coffee and cultural inspiration in a single collection.

The Samra Origins collection consists of coffee, machines, and accessories. Each item features bold and sophisticated designs incorporating Amharic, the Ethiopian language that reflects The Weeknd's heritage, visually expressing the unique sensibility and story behind the collection.

Nespresso's Samra Origins limited edition coffee will be released in two Tanzanian varieties (Original and Vertuo). To capture The Weeknd's African heritage, the coffee uses 100% wet-processed Arabica beans sourced from Tanzania's Mount Kilimanjaro.

Samra Origins Tanzania (Original and Vertuo) offers a harmonious blend of bright fruity notes and clean, dried grain flavors, resulting in a coffee with a sweet and rich aroma. It pairs especially well with milk, making it ideal for cappuccinos, where the fruit and sweet caramel notes become even more pronounced. When enjoyed as an Americano, the distinctive flavors of the origin stand out, delivering a more balanced coffee experience.

This limited edition coffee will be released first at Nespresso boutiques nationwide on December 16.
