Man in His 70s Fatally Pinned by 5-Ton Forklift That Rolled on Slope in Sancheong

A forklift that was parked in front of a manufacturing company in Sancheong, South Gyeongsang Province, rolled and fatally pinned the driver.

According to the Sancheong Police Station on December 15, at approximately 3:40 p.m. on December 14, a man in his 70s, identified as Mr. A, was pinned under a 5-ton forklift that had been parked on a slope in front of a manufacturing company in Sancheong-eup, Sancheong County.

Mr. A was rushed to the hospital by emergency responders after a report was made, but ultimately passed away.

It has been determined that Mr. A was closing the door after parking the forklift when it suddenly rolled backward, resulting in the accident.

The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident and whether negligence was involved.
