Woori Bank Surpasses 1 Million Subscribers for Samsung Wallet Money·Point Service

Up to 10% Point Rewards

Woori Bank announced on December 8 that the number of new subscribers to the 'Samsung Wallet Money·Point' service, launched in partnership with Samsung Electronics, has surpassed 1 million.

The service, which began in October, exceeded 500,000 subscribers within just three weeks of its launch and achieved the 1 million milestone in less than two months. Woori Bank explained that the ability to sign up directly through Samsung Wallet without installing a separate application, along with a high point accumulation rate, were key factors driving the increase in subscriptions.

To celebrate reaching 1 million subscribers, the two companies will hold a special event starting December 15, offering up to 10% point rewards. Customers can receive a basic 0.5% reward for offline payments made with Samsung Wallet Money, an additional 5% to commemorate the 1 million milestone until the reward cap is reached, 1.5% for charging or making payments via a Woori Bank account, and an extra 3% for using the 'Samsung Wallet Money Woori Account.' This enables customers to earn up to 10% of their payment amount in points.

Everyday partnership benefits will also be expanded. For example, customers will receive 1,000 points instantly when making purchases of 3,000 won or more at GS25 convenience stores, and major online malls such as LotteON will offer instant discounts and point rewards. The companies plan to continue expanding their list of partners to further enhance customer benefits in the future.

Representatives from Woori Bank and Samsung Electronics stated, "With 1 million customers choosing us in such a short period, we will repay them with tangible benefits," adding, "We will continue to develop this payment service so it can be used more frequently and conveniently in daily life."
