Jung Sunguk Raises Concerns as Han Donghun's 'Party Member Bulletin Board Controversy' Escalates
Points Out, "It Can't Go the Way Jang Donghyuk or Lee Hoseon Want"
Says, "As Jang Donghyuk's Leadership Falters, Han Donghun Stands Out"
As the People Power Party shows signs of internal strife over the so-called 'Party Member Bulletin Board Controversy,' which involves allegations implicating the family of former leader Han Donghun, Rep. Jung Sunguk-who is considered part of the pro-Han (Han Donghun) faction-pointed out, "It is not possible to proceed freely in the direction that CEO Jang Donghyuk or Party Audit Committee Chairman Lee Hoseon think." In an interview on MBC Radio's 'Kwon Soonpyo's News High Kick' on the afternoon of December 10, Rep. Jung said, "Many lawmakers raised objections today. We addressed legal issues, not emotional ones."

Previously, on December 9, Party Audit Committee Chairman Lee Hoseon stated, "We are currently in the process of verifying the actual authors of the posts that are believed to have been made under the names of former leader Han and his family." He announced that, according to the party member registry, the last four digits of the mobile phone numbers of three party members using the same names as Han's family matched. In addition, he revealed that all four individuals left the party between December 16 and 19 last year. However, Chairman Lee added, "Please refrain from speculative reporting or over-interpretation based on unverified information."
Rep. Jung pointed out, "There are continuing concerns about violations of the Personal Information Protection Act and the Political Parties Act," and added, "There are also issues under the party constitution and regulations. This is a very serious problem." He continued, "The information leaked by the Party Affairs Committee in the middle of the process can only be seen as an attempt to create negative public opinion against former leader Han," and criticized, "Including real names, withdrawal dates, and even revealing the daughter's name in the course of official duties is something that should not have been done."
When the host mentioned that there are interpretations suggesting the activities of the Party Audit Committee are aimed at ousting former leader Han, Rep. Jung replied, "It seems that way. Former leader Han achieved good results on the Daejang-dong and Lone Star issues, and his supporters are rallying again."
He stated, "Currently, CEO Jang's leadership is faltering, so it is only natural that former leader Han stands out as an alternative," and argued, "In some ways, it seems that CEO Jang is fixated on the idea that 'as long as Han Donghun exists, I cannot succeed.'"

In November of last year, a series of posts criticizing former President Yoon Sukyeol and his wife, allegedly made under the names of former leader Han and his family, were uploaded to the People Power Party's member bulletin board, leading to internal conflict. The pro-Yoon (pro-Yoon Sukyeol) faction called on former leader Han to provide an explanation and apologize, but Han has insisted that there are forces trying to bring him down over this issue and has held his ground.
Recently, as CEO Jang did not issue an apology for the December 3 emergency martial law or deliver a message of severance from former President Yoon on the first anniversary, dissatisfaction within the party has been rising, and the Party Member Bulletin Board Controversy has resurfaced, intensifying backlash from the pro-Han faction.
