Open Recruitment and Full-Scale New Title Development Planned for Next Year
Nexon has established a new development subsidiary called "Deloquest" and appointed Kim Jongyul, Deputy Head of Publishing Live Division at Nexon Korea, as its first CEO.
According to Nexon on December 5, Deloquest was founded as a wholly owned subsidiary of Nexon Korea. Leveraging his extensive experience, CEO Kim Jongyul plans to lay the foundation for the long-term growth of new titles at the company.
Kim Jongyul joined Nexon in 2008 and was responsible for the overseas service and publishing of titles such as "Crazy Arcade," "Bubble Fighter," "Vindictus," and "MapleStory 2." He also demonstrated his capabilities by overseeing live publishing for projects including "Baram: Yeon" and "Prasia Electric."
The new subsidiary will see the addition of many key development personnel, led by Executive Vice President and General Director Lee Taesung. In addition, the company plans to expand the development team through open recruitment next year and to accelerate the development of new titles in earnest.
CEO Kim Jongyul stated, "At this new development subsidiary, I will do my utmost to focus Nexon's development capabilities and deliver new titles that meet the expectations of many users."
