Hana Financial Group announced on December 5 that the number of subscribers to its flagship overseas travel platform, "Travelog," has surpassed 10 million.

Launched on July 18, 2022, Travelog reached 1 million users in just 11 months, 5 million in 22 months, and surpassed 10 million users on December 1, 41 months after its launch, solidifying its position as Korea's leading overseas travel platform.

Travelog, available through Hana Financial Group's lifestyle finance platform "Hana Money" app, allows users to exchange 58 currencies for free and make payments or use the service anywhere in the world without overseas transaction or usage fees. It is the result of a collaboration between Hana Bank, Hana Card, and Hana Money, representing the group's digital capabilities.

Travelog was the first in the financial sector to establish market standards such as free currency exchange (with 100% preferential exchange rates), exemption from overseas payment and usage fees, and exemption from overseas ATM withdrawal fees.

Additionally, for the first time among Korea's top five financial institutions, Travelog launched cards affiliated with global payment network brands "Mastercard, Visa, and UnionPay." It has also been designated as an innovative financial service, allowing the expansion of currency-specific limits (from 2 million won to 3 million won) and offering free foreign currency remittance services.

As of December 4, the total amount of currency exchanged through Hana Financial Group's Travelog has surpassed 5.4 trillion won, setting a record among domestic financial currency exchange platforms. With the choice of 10 million customers, Travelog has maintained the number one market share in the overseas debit card sector for 34 consecutive months.

At a celebration for surpassing 10 million users, Ham Youngjoo, Chairman of Hana Financial Group, invited the 10 millionth customer and presented them with a "travel support fund" of 2 million Hana Money as a token of appreciation.

Chairman Ham expressed his gratitude, saying, "Travelog has become an essential item for overseas travel for today's generation, who value rational consumption and meaningful experiences, by leading the way in cashless international travel with 24/7 mobile currency exchange."

He added, "The core content of Travelog-currency exchange (by Hana Bank) and payments (by Hana Card)-is where Hana Financial Group excels. The journey to 10 million users has been filled with gratitude and inspiration. We will continue to dedicate the group's capabilities and support to provide differentiated value and the best customer experience until Travelog becomes an essential service for all 50 million people in Korea."
