Gwangmyeong City to Recruit 467 Participants for Public Job Program for Vulnerable Groups Until December 12

Targeting Gwangmyeong Happy, New Middle-Aged, Together, and Community Job Programs

Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province will recruit 467 participants for the first half of next year's "Public Job Program" from December 9 to December 12, 2025, to help stabilize the livelihoods of vulnerable job seekers.

This public job program covers four categories: Gwangmyeong Happy Jobs, New Middle-Aged Jobs, Together Jobs, and Community Jobs. The recruitment targets low-income, vulnerable job seekers and unemployed individuals.

Gwangmyeong Happy Jobs will hire 161 people across six fields, including cleaning public restrooms in traditional markets and washing toys at toy libraries. The New Middle-Aged Jobs program will employ 183 people for work such as supporting health and welfare services, assisting public institution cafeterias, and serving as Together Care Managers.

The Together Jobs program will recruit 109 people for roles such as safety supervisors at large construction sites and working with the Gwangmyeong Hope Dingdong Project Group. The Community Jobs program will assign 14 people to positions such as pet care and operating umbrella repair centers.

Notably, the New Middle-Aged Jobs program includes the "Together Care Manager" position, a specialized care job for women in their 50s and 60s with child-related qualifications. After receiving job training, they will be assigned to local children's centers and Together Care Centers. The city plans to expand the workplaces for Together Care Managers to kindergartens starting next year.

The employment period for the public job program will run for five months, from February to June 2026. Daily working hours vary by program, ranging from three to eight hours. The hourly wage is 10,320 won, and participants will also receive an additional allowance of 5,000 to 8,000 won, as well as weekly and monthly leave benefits.

Citizens who wish to participate should refer to the announcements section on the Gwangmyeong City website and submit the application form and related documents to their local administrative welfare center within the application period.

Gwangmyeong Mayor Park Seungwon stated, "We will continue to strengthen the public job program to protect citizens' right to work and guarantee stable employment for vulnerable job seekers."
