A lecture aimed at raising regional security awareness and an evaluation of the year's business achievements were held together in a single event.
The Cheongsong County Chapter of the Korea Freedom Federation (President Park Kyungsoon) held the '2025 Security Lecture and Business Evaluation Conference' at the Cheongsong County Public Cooperation Center on December 4.
The event was attended by Cheongsong County Governor Yoon Kyunghee, County Council Chairman Shim Sanghyu, Gyeongbuk Provincial Council members Shin Hyogwang and Im Gijin, as well as about 60 federation members, who reflected on the chapter's activities over the past year.
This year's security lecture featured Professor Joo Seunghyun of Kosin University, who was invited to give a talk on the theme of "Protecting Liberal Democracy."
At the subsequent business evaluation conference, the Cheongsong County Chapter reported on its achievements in defending freedom. Seventeen individuals who contributed to the spread of liberal democratic values, the foundation for unification, and the development of the local community were recognized with awards from the county governor and others.
President Park Kyungsoon stated, "I deeply appreciate all our members who have dedicated themselves to the nation and the local community despite challenging circumstances. We will continue to strive for the further development of the Cheongsong County Chapter."
A Cheongsong County official commented, "We are grateful for the efforts of federation members who have upheld the values of liberal democracy and served the local community. We hope you will continue to be a role model and a strong focal point for the community next year as well."
The Cheongsong County Chapter of the Korea Freedom Federation is taking the lead in promoting sound security awareness and community unity through a variety of initiatives, including a joint memorial service for those who sacrificed in defense of freedom, a national flag-raising campaign, relief activities for wildfire victims, and the operation of the Mother Posooni Volunteer Corps.
