CareDoc Extends Retirement Age to 66... Proactively Expands Senior Employment

CareDoc, a senior total care company, announced on December 2 that it will officially extend the retirement age of its employees to 66 and establish a sustainable senior employment system.


Amid ongoing discussions about extending the retirement age due to the effects of an aging population and a declining working-age population, the government is also moving to raise the statutory retirement age to 65 and expand senior employment policies.

In response to this social climate and policy direction, CareDoc has proactively decided to extend the retirement age beyond the current legal limit of 60 to 66. This policy will be applied first to all current employees and executives at CareDoc, and will later be implemented for new hires as well.


In fact, CareDoc has a relatively high proportion of employees in their 60s. Especially in the care service sector, there are many roles-such as home care, in-home care, and counseling-where the diverse experience and expertise of seniors can be fully utilized. Accordingly, CareDoc operates a competency-based recruitment and personnel system that is not influenced by age. The company also continues to foster senior care specialists known as 'Care Coordinators,' mainly among workers aged 50 and above, striving to cultivate senior professionals in each field.
