Recognized for Contributions in Administrative Audits, Budget Reviews, and Ordinance Sponsorship

On December 1, Councilor Lee Yongseong of the People Power Party and Councilor Kim Kwonhwan of the Democratic Party of Korea from Gongju City Council in Chungnam received the '2025 Legislative Award' hosted by the Gongju City Journalists Association.
The two councilors were recognized for faithfully representing the will of citizens and contributing to the development of Gongju City through their overall legislative activities, including administrative audits, budget and settlement reviews, and sponsoring ordinance bills.
Im Dalhee, Chairperson of Gongju City Council, said, "It is a great honor to receive the Legislative Award from the Gongju City Journalists Association, which is at the forefront of fair and accurate journalism," and added, "We will continue to pursue legislative activities that earn the trust of both the media and citizens."
Lee Byungin, President of the association, stated, "Our members carefully and fairly selected the awardees," and continued, "As writer Cho Jungrae said, 'Being indifferent to politics is being irresponsible for one's own life.' I hope the councilors will continue their upright legislative activities with the love and interest of citizens."
