On December 1, Gwangju Seogu District announced the appointment of Jung Yongwook, former Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau of Seogu District Office, as the third chairman of the Seogu Facilities Management Corporation. His term will begin on December 2 and last for three years.

The Seogu Facilities Management Corporation has received the lowest rating for three consecutive years in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's local public enterprise management evaluation, highlighting the urgent need to restore public trust and reorganize the management system.
Accordingly, Seogu District appointed Jung Yongwook as chairman through an open recruitment process and a personnel hearing at the Seogu District Council, recognizing his comprehensive administrative capabilities and field expertise to lead organizational innovation.
Jung Yongwook, the newly appointed chairman, began his public service career as a Grade 7 civil servant in 1993 and has served as Director of Planning, Director of Cleaning Administration, Director of Culture and Economy, and Director of Autonomous Administration. He is regarded as an administrative expert with extensive experience in key areas such as personnel and organizational management, environment, labor unions, and culture and sports, demonstrating a thorough understanding of overall organizational operations.
Chairman Jung stated, "Restoring public trust in the corporation and strengthening organizational capabilities are the top priorities at this time. To achieve the corporation's fundamental goal of enhancing residents' happiness and welfare through efficient management of public facilities, I will do my utmost to improve organizational efficiency through job analysis, expand safety systems, and foster a culture of internal cooperation."
