Held at Daejeon Modern and Contemporary History Exhibition Hall from December 5 to 16
Featuring Collections of Daejeon Master Craftsmen and Works Created by Students
The Daejeon City Park Management Office (Wood Culture Experience Center) will hold a special exhibition featuring more than 80 works by instructors and students who participated in wood education and training programs. The exhibition will take place from December 5 to December 16 at the Daejeon Modern and Contemporary History Exhibition Hall's special exhibition room.
This exhibition, themed "Mokyeon (Connections Made Through Wood)," will showcase both the collections of instructors (Daejeon Metropolitan City Master Craftsmen) who led the programs and the works created by the students themselves. A notable feature is that all pieces were made using domestic wood.
The exhibited works include a diverse range of items such as wood engraving, wood carving, traditional furniture, and DIY crafts. Specially designed display stands and lighting will allow visitors to appreciate the intricate grain and details of the wood.
In addition, on-site visitors will be offered guided explanations of the works from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Park Youngcheol, Director of the Greenery and Agro-Bio Department of Daejeon City, stated, "This exhibition is a valuable opportunity to see at a glance both the excellence and artistic value of domestic wood through these wooden works."
