Caught Scribbling on Bus Route Maps: Teen Vandals Apprehended by Police Damaged Jeonju Angol Bus Stop Route Map Yonhap News

Jeonju Deokjin Police Station in North Jeolla Province announced on November 26 that two teenagers who scribbled graffiti at a bus stop and fled will be released with a warning.

On November 22, at around 11 p.m., the teenagers, including a boy identified as "A," are accused of defacing route maps at two city bus stops in Inhu-dong, Deokjin-gu, Jeonju, by scribbling with a black pen to obscure the destinations or tearing off the edges, and then fleeing the scene.

At the time, posts appeared on social networking services (SNS) saying things like, "I almost missed my bus because the route map was damaged."

After receiving a report, the police launched an investigation, identified the suspects based on their descriptions, and apprehended them.

A police official stated, "We will strongly caution them that they may face punishment if they repeat such actions, and then release them."

The city of Jeonju, which received related civil complaints, replaced the severely damaged route map at the Angol bus stop and completed repairs on the route map at another nearby stop.
