Ildong Pharmaceutical announced on November 25 that its health functional food line, the 'KidQ Series,' has been selected as an 'Excellent Design (Good Design·GD) Product' for 2025.

The 'Good Design Product Selection' is a government certification system that awards the 'GD Mark' to products and services with outstanding design. It is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion.

The 'KidQ Series' from Ildong Pharmaceutical is a health functional food line scientifically formulated with ingredients and raw materials essential for children's health and growth.

The 'KidQ Series' consists of five products: 'KidQ Red Ginseng Jelly,' designed to support children's immunity and memory; 'KidQ Vita Jelly,' which contains five types of vitamins and minerals; 'KidQ Immune Jelly,' which includes zinc and vitamin D; 'KidQ Kids Plus Jelly,' which contains calcium for strong growth; and 'KidQ Bowel Jelly,' which helps promote regular bowel movements.

According to Ildong Pharmaceutical, the package design features fun animal characters tailored to children's perspectives, and the products are offered in a jelly form to make them easy and enjoyable to consume. In addition, to prevent injuries when consuming the product, each stick-type package has rounded corners, and an easy-cut system has been applied so that children can safely open them on their own.

In particular, for the package design, the company used the motif of a 'forest village animal car race' to spark children's curiosity and sense of familiarity, placing one of five animal characters on each of the five 'KidQ Series' packages.

Each product features a racing car design with a tiger, monkey, elephant, giraffe, or hippopotamus character, and when the five packages are lined up, the race track connects across them, stimulating children's imagination and sense of fun.

The company explained that the story setting, in which the main functional ingredients in each product are featured as 'boosters' to see which can cross the finish line first, is a metaphor for children growing up strong and healthy with the right nutrition for their needs.

Furthermore, the company added that it used FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)-certified paper and soybean oil-based ink (SOY INK) for the packaging to promote sustainable forest management practices, reflecting its commitment to environmental friendliness and ESG management.
