Seo-gu Honors, a group of major donors in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, gifted a meaningful school trip to out-of-school youth.

Seo-gu announced that from November 19 to 21, twenty out-of-school youth enjoyed cultural experiences and career exploration in Gyeongju, supported by Seo-gu Honors.

Seo-gu Honors provided 15 million won in sponsorship funds for this project.

Over the three-day, two-night trip, the students visited some of Korea's most significant cultural heritage sites, including Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, and Cheomseongdae Observatory, allowing them to directly experience their historical significance. In addition, they had opportunities to develop self-understanding and collaboration skills through craft job experiences, career counseling with university student mentors, group activities, and by writing and presenting their experience journals.

Participants said, "As out-of-school youth, we never even dreamed of going on a school trip, so this experience was incredibly happy and became a precious memory. It was more than just a trip; it was a chance to seriously reflect on our dreams and lives and to think more deeply about our future paths."

Kim Ikang, Mayor of Seo-gu, stated, "Providing opportunities for out-of-school youth to overcome prejudice and boldly pursue their dreams and challenges is an important role of administration. We will continue to expand practical, customized programs so that young people can build self-esteem and realize their potential."

Meanwhile, Seo-gu Honors has attracted 103 members within just one year of its launch and has raised over 3.5 billion won in donations, taking the lead in addressing welfare blind spots.
