Changwon Special City, Doosan Enerbility and Changwon Chamber of Commerce Provide 180 Million Won in Heating Aid for Vulnerable Groups

Support for 1,500 Energy-Vulnerable Households in the Region

On November 20, Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province announced that Doosan Enerbility and the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry had donated a total of 180 million won to support energy-vulnerable households in the region.

Since 2022, Doosan Enerbility and the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry have consistently carried out support programs for energy-vulnerable groups each year. Now in its fourth year, this initiative is recognized as a leading social contribution activity, providing practical assistance to neighbors struggling with rising heating costs. This year, financial support of 120,000 won will be delivered to each of 1,500 energy-vulnerable households.


In particular, Doosan Enerbility additionally donated Onnuri gift certificates worth 150 million won this year, further contributing to both local economic revitalization and support for marginalized groups.


Jung Yeonin, Vice Chairman of Doosan Enerbility, stated, "I hope that our energy support, now in its fourth year, will provide a small but meaningful help for our neighbors to have a warm winter. As a leading local company, we will continue our efforts to promote a culture of sharing and to revitalize the regional economy."


Choi Jaeho, Chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "I am pleased to join Doosan Enerbility in this warm act of sharing. I hope we can bring some warmth to those in need during the cold winter, and we will work even harder to support both the community and businesses through various contribution activities."


Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City, expressed, "I deeply appreciate Doosan Enerbility and the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry for their ongoing commitment to sharing for the local community. The city will also continue to pursue welfare policies that carefully support marginalized neighbors so that all citizens can enjoy a warm winter."
