Apology for Connection Issues and Item Compensation
Addition of "Assist Mode" for Mobile Environment
NCSoft's highly anticipated new release, "Aion 2," underwent emergency maintenance on its launch day. The development team responded swiftly after negative feedback arose due to server connection issues immediately after launch and a monetization model (BM) that differed from previous announcements.

NCSoft began emergency maintenance for "Aion 2" at 4:30 p.m. on November 19, following a live broadcast at 3 p.m. The maintenance is expected to take approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
The live broadcast featured So Inseop, Head of Business at NCSoft, and Kim Namjun, Development PD. So first addressed the connection issues, stating, "I am so sorry that I have no words." "Aion 2," which launched at midnight that day, saw up to 30,000 users in the server queue during the early morning hours, resulting in unstable access for about two hours.
The development team also apologized for the controversy over the monetization model. Contrary to their earlier statements, the "Combat Enhancement Scroll" and "Soul Book" items were included in the in-game paid currency "Quna." So admitted, "We included these items in the Quna shop for player convenience, but that was shortsighted and careless on our part." He added, "After the emergency maintenance, these items will be removed from sale." He also announced that "100 Combat Enhancement Scrolls and 50 Soul Books will be provided as compensation to all users."
To address the inconvenience of controls in the mobile environment, an "Assist Mode" will be added. This feature, which had previously been under consideration, is not fully automated. So explained, "When a user selects a target, only skill usage will be automated. It's a simple convenience feature."
NCSoft also plans to respond to feedback that "progression feels tedious." Kim stated, "We will reduce the number of monsters required for quests by about half, and increase the damage for the Guardian and Healer classes."
