This event was part of the second semester curriculum of "Cheongnyeondaero (As Imagined by Youth)," a policy development collaboration project jointly promoted by the city and Hanyang University ERICA.
During the event, Mayor Lee shared Ansan's future vision and the city's policy direction with university students, engaging in a lively exchange of questions and opinions.
In his "Special Lecture on Ansan's Future Vision," Mayor Lee introduced the city's key policies encompassing its past, present, and future. The subsequent talk concert, themed "Students Ask, the Mayor Answers," covered a wide range of topics, including the establishment of Hanyang University Station on the Shinansan Line, the designation of Ansan Science Valley (ASV) as part of the Gyeonggi Free Economic Zone, and the expansion of public transportation. The discussion also extended to advice on leadership and university life.
At the event, a Hanyang University ERICA student also drew attention by presenting a new design model for Ansan City's mascot "Techmi," incorporating AI technology to reflect the latest trends.
Mayor Lee stated, "I will continue to communicate with young people to ensure that students' ideas can be reflected in actual city administration."
Meanwhile, the Hanyang University ERICA policy development curriculum currently involves 6 professors and 99 students across 5 courses, including the College of Design and the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, who are working on a total of 23 policy projects. The city plans to expand the policy collaboration program to other universities in the area in the future.
