G2 Power's Solar AI DC Arc Interruption System Selected as Next-Generation World-Class Product

G2 Power announced on November 19 that its "Solar AI DC Arc Interruption System" has been selected as a Next-Generation World-Class Product for 2025.

The selection of the 2025 Next-Generation World-Class Products, organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), is a certification awarded through a rigorous process in accordance with the regulations for the operation of the World-Class Product Promotion Project and export support programs.

Solar power generation systems can develop defects over time, such as electrical faults and deterioration, which may damage system components and cause fires.

Lee Dongjun, Vice President (CTO) of G2 Power, stated, "The arc interruption system utilizes CMD technology, which received New Excellent Technology (NET) certification in 2021, and incorporates state-of-the-art AI technology that surpasses that of global competitors overseas. It detects and diagnoses arcs occurring in solar DC lines, thereby preventing fire accidents in advance."

With the selection as a Next-Generation World-Class Product, G2 Power's solar power system is expected to secure product competitiveness not only in the domestic market but also globally. The company's achievements are anticipated to drive its growth in line with the expansion of renewable energy.

In November last year, G2 Power also became the industry's first to be selected as a Next-Generation World-Class Product for its "Intelligent AI Power Distribution Panel." Building on its AI power distribution panel business, the company is evolving into a comprehensive energy solutions provider by establishing power grids centered on renewable energy facilities and energy storage systems (ESS).

Kim Donghyun, Vice President (CFO) of G2 Power, explained, "We expect the sales proportion of the renewable energy solar sector to grow significantly this year, driven by the government's policies to promote distributed energy and expand renewable energy."
