Park Oasis was recognized for presenting new possibilities as an emotionally resonant architectural space within a residential complex, designed for relaxation and emotional restoration in the heart of the city.
The Good Design Award Korea is the nation’s most prestigious design award, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion. It honors designs with innovation and social significance across various fields, including products, spaces, and environments.
The outdoor music hall 'Park Oasis' at Jamsil Raemian I-Park was conceived as a space for pause and respite amid a densely populated city. Going beyond a simple performance venue, it serves as an emotionally engaging community space where people can naturally interact and awaken their senses.
A representative from HDC Hyundai Development Company stated, "Park Oasis is more than just a community facility within the complex; it realizes a stage of nature in the city that is open to everyone while still offering private sanctuary. With this award as momentum, we will continue to introduce emotionally resonant spaces that break down the boundaries between landscaping and architecture within residential complexes."

The circular floor plan of Park Oasis connects pathways, with a central water feature serving as the main axis. The curved roof is composed of multiple layers of metal, allowing its hue to subtly change depending on the angle of light and the time of day. Inside, curved decks and resting areas unfold above the water, and the performance stage and seating are designed to remain unfixed. The mist effect surrounding the water feature changes according to time, temperature, and humidity.
Park Oasis is designed to harmonize water, light, vegetation, and mist. Architecturally embodying HDC Hyundai Development Company’s vision of 'the most private nature within the city,' it suggests a new direction for urban residential spaces. Through landscaping in the I-Park complex, HDC Hyundai Development Company aims to provide residents with a higher level of landscaping that delivers both the comfort of nature and the sophistication of the city, all within the complex itself.
HDC Hyundai Development Company added, "Based on a modern design sensibility reminiscent of a luxury resort, we will continue to create spaces where residents can share experiences of nature that change with the seasons and engage in vibrant communication with one another."
