Culture Day, “Nooks and Crannies Cultural Delivery” in North Gyeongsang: “Goryeong County Culture Road Daegaya” Event Held

A Creative Performance Blending Hangul, Music, and Magic
Diverse Hands-on Programs for All Ages

As the final stop of the 2025 “Culture Day Nooks and Crannies Cultural Delivery” program, a special cultural performance will be held in Goryeong County, North Gyeongsang Province.

This event, scheduled for November 29 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the auditorium of the Goryeong Daegaya Museum, is co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and North Gyeongsang Province, and co-organized by the Regional Culture Promotion Agency, the Gyeongbuk Culture Foundation, and Art Village People.

“Culture Day” is a national cultural welfare policy promoted under Article 12, Paragraph 2 of the Framework Act on Culture to guarantee the public’s right to culture in daily life. “Nooks and Crannies Cultural Delivery” is a flagship project that offers cultural experiences to local residents by touring 12 regions in North Gyeongsang Province during the last week of each month, which is designated as “Culture Day” week. This performance in Goryeong marks the conclusion of this year’s journey and holds special significance.

The performance will be themed “Culture Road Daegaya,” featuring a program titled “Magical Letters Hangul! Meet the Music & Magic Band.” Through a creative stage combining music and magic, the audience will experience both excitement and inspiration, as local history and stories are expressed through art. In particular, the “Music & Magic Band” performance will offer a colorful experience that captivates both the eyes and ears of the audience by blending musical performances and stage acts.

The event will also feature a variety of hands-on programs. Activities include Korean language writing, stamping with Hunminjeongeum seals to experience the beauty of Hangul, as well as making mobile phone stands, creating personalized fragrances, crafting mother-of-pearl hand mirrors, producing art pieces, playing traditional games, and trying percussion instruments. These diverse programs are designed for participants of all ages, providing families with enjoyable cultural experiences.

This event is expected to serve as a meaningful occasion to reflect on the value of Hangul and the importance of the Korean language, and to mark a beautiful conclusion to the year-long cultural journey across North Gyeongsang Province.
