Gyeonggi Province to Host 'Second Act of Life' Festival for Middle-Aged and Older Adults in Gwacheon on the 25th

Gyeonggi Province will host a festival for the second act of life for middle-aged and older adults.

On November 17, Gyeonggi Province announced that, in collaboration with the Gyeonggi Job Foundation and Gwacheon City, it will hold the “2025 Gwacheon City Job & Life Design Expo” and the “Gyeonggi Province 5070 Job Expo with Encore Life Special Lecture & Recruitment Information Session” at Gwacheon D-Tech Tower on November 25. These events aim to support reemployment and second-act life planning for the middle-aged and older population.

This expo is an integrated job fair that supports employment and life planning for middle-aged and older adults in one place. Gwacheon City and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation will work together to offer a variety of programs on the first and second floors of D-Tech Tower.

On the first floor’s central hall, the “Job & Life Design Expo” hosted by Gwacheon City will take place. The on-site events will include recruitment interviews with 15 companies, job counseling and support programs provided by related organizations, resume photo shoots, personal color analysis, and various side events.

On the second floor’s Future Hall, the “Gyeonggi Province 5070 Job Expo” hosted by the Gyeonggi Job Foundation will be held, featuring the “Encore Life Special Lecture” and the “Recruitment Information Session for Middle-Aged and Older-Friendly Companies.”

In particular, the Encore Life Special Lecture will feature Kim Minsik, an MBC producer and author, as the guest speaker. He will give a lecture on “The Attitude of Happy Communication and Speaking.” The special lecture is expected to help middle-aged and older adults preparing for their second act of life regain their communication skills and confidence, and adapt to new workplaces.

Meanwhile, from July to November of this year, Gyeonggi Province has been holding the “Gyeonggi Province 5070 Job Expo” a total of 26 times, touring all 31 cities and counties in the province. So far, more than 18,000 middle-aged and older adults have participated, and the final event for this year will be held in Gwangmyeong City on December 3.
