Celebrating the Opening with a Ceremonial Tee Shot
Trial Operations Until Year-End, Full-Scale Opening in January Next Year
On the afternoon of November 14, the city of Yangsan in South Gyeongsang Province held an opening ceremony for the Dongbu Yangsan Park Golf Course, located in Deokgye-dong.
Approximately 200 people attended the event, including provincial and city council members, park golf club members, heads of institutions and organizations, and local residents, to celebrate the opening of the park golf course.
In particular, a ceremonial tee shot performance marked the first ball of the park golf course, drawing interest and enthusiastic responses from the citizens in attendance.
The Dongbu Yangsan Park Golf Course, which was completed in June, officially opened after administrative procedures such as signing an entrustment agreement for stable operation and making facility improvements. The facility is situated on a 27,048-square-meter site in the Deokgye-dong area and features an 18-hole park golf course, 53 parking spaces, two restrooms, and additional facilities such as an office and storage room.
Following its opening, the course will undergo trial operations from November 17 until the end of the year, with plans to begin full-scale operations on January 2, 2026. During the trial period, operating hours will be divided into two sessions: from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the first session, and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the second session. The course will be closed on holidays. During the trial period, admission will be free on a first-come, first-served basis at the site.
Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "The opening of the Dongbu Yangsan Park Golf Course will make a significant contribution to improving citizens' health and promoting recreational sports. We will continue to do our best to expand infrastructure for recreational sports in the future."
