The Korea Venture Capital Association (Venture Capital Association) announced on November 14 that it held the "Global Enterprise Collaboration Program Host Organization Global Regional Seminar" at COEX in Seoul to support the development of strategies for technology startups to enter the European market.
This event was co-hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, and the Venture Capital Association. It was organized to explore ways to support domestic startups in expanding overseas by collaborating with global corporations such as Siemens, Dassault Syst?mes, and Air Liquide, and to strengthen global partnerships.
During the morning seminar, Intralinks Korea and Eco & Partners participated, delivering in-depth lectures on the latest trends in the European venture investment ecosystem and strategies for startups to establish ESG initiatives.
Following this, three domestic startups participating in the program-VS Pharmtech, Sinsungo, and Beyond Capture-presented successful cases of collaboration with global corporations. The three participating companies emphasized that this collaboration provided a valuable opportunity to expand their overseas networks and enabled them to achieve further growth based on the extensive know-how accumulated by global corporations in various technological fields. Beyond Capture announced that it would conduct a joint research project with Air Liquide and expressed expectations for continued collaboration in the future.
Finally, program managers from the Global Enterprise Collaboration Program shared their business operation experiences and discussed ways to advance the global collaboration model and expand customized support programs to enhance the overseas expansion performance of domestic startups.
The Global Enterprise Collaboration Program is a project that supports the growth of startups and creates opportunities for entry into overseas markets through collaboration with global corporations. By utilizing the infrastructure, technology, and management expertise of global corporations, the program supports startups at each stage of their growth.
The Venture Capital Association currently operates three collaboration programs: Daonda (in partnership with Dassault Syst?mes, focusing on pharmaceuticals, bio, and healthcare), Mediterranean (in partnership with Siemens, focusing on electronics, electrical, machinery, equipment, components, and medical devices), and N.E.O (in partnership with Air Liquide, focusing on eco-friendly energy). The association supports the strengthening of global networks for startups and facilitates investment connections.
A representative from the Venture Capital Association stated, "This event was planned to provide practical information to domestic startups preparing for global expansion and to the institutions supporting them," adding, "The association will continue to strengthen connections between domestic and international investors and startups, and actively support the growth of companies preparing to enter the global market."
