2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Assessment ‘Online Store’ Maternity/Childcare and Pet Sector Results Announced

KCA Korea Consumer Assessment has announced the results of the 2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Assessment ‘Online Store’ for the maternity/childcare and pet sectors. The event is hosted by the Korea Consumer Council and organized by Korea Consumer Assessment.

This assessment aims to realize the eight fundamental consumer rights protected under Article 4 of the Framework Act on Consumers-such as the right to have opinions reflected, the right to be informed, and the right to choose-by publishing consumer evaluation results by industry based on the standard industrial classification. It also seeks to provide consumers with objective and useful information to help improve the quality of their consumer lives.

The 2025 KCIA Korea Consumer Industry Assessment ‘Online Store’ is conducted annually to select and introduce to the public outstanding online stores that have been highly rated by actual users, in a market environment where online shopping has become routine and consumer channels are shifting toward digital platforms.

For the assessment, a preliminary survey was conducted from July to September, based on the number of reviews for each product category sold on portal sites. Candidates who received high preliminary ratings were notified, and the final outstanding online stores were selected according to the evaluation criteria listed below.

Korea Consumer Assessment selected the best online stores in each detailed sector and category through a final evaluation based on the actual experiences of consumers who used the stores. The four final evaluation criteria were: △product satisfaction △delivery satisfaction △complaint handling △overall evaluation. The list of selected outstanding online stores is as follows.

A representative from Korea Consumer Assessment stated, "As e-commerce has become a core method of everyday consumption, consumers are now choosing purchasing channels based on a comprehensive consideration of not only the product itself but also convenience, reliability, and personalized experiences. In line with this market trend prioritizing overall shopping experience, online retailers are striving to earn consumer trust through fast delivery, high-quality products, and courteous customer service. We hope that the announcement of these outstanding online stores, based on objective analysis of real consumer experiences, will provide practical help to consumers in their daily lives."

The representative added, "In line with the purpose and significance of the Korea Consumer Industry Assessment, we plan to support household consumption for low-income families through the ‘Fruit of Love’ campaign. In particular, through the ‘Child Sponsorship Program,’ we provide regular support for living expenses, education, and medical costs to children and adolescents from vulnerable low-income groups, hoping to help them enjoy a healthy childhood and adolescence. We will continue to show ongoing interest and move forward together."
