Applications Accepted at Town and Township Offices Until December 12
Support for Soil Improvement to Promote Sustainable Agriculture
Muan County in South Jeolla Province is accepting applications for the "2026 Organic Fertilizer Support Project" from November 11 to December 12. Applications can be submitted at the town or township office where the farmland is located.
The support is available to farmers who have completed agricultural business registration. If the farmland is located outside Muan County, applications must be submitted to the relevant town, township, or neighborhood office of the corresponding local government.
The supported items include: ▲ three types of organic fertilizers (mixed oilcake, mixed organic, and organic compound fertilizers) ▲ two types of matured organic fertilizers (livestock manure compost and compost). The subsidy rates are 1,600 KRW per 20kg bag for organic fertilizers, and 1,300 to 1,600 KRW per bag for matured organic fertilizers depending on the grade. Additionally, products manufactured by local companies can receive up to 400 KRW extra support per bag. However, for matured organic fertilizers, applications exceeding 2,000kg (100 bags) per 10 ares are not allowed, and the agricultural business registration must be maintained from the application date until the supply date.
Based on the submitted applications, the county will confirm the recipients and supply volume early next year and supply the fertilizers through agricultural cooperatives and suppliers.
Choi Gwangjae, Head of the Food and Horticulture Division of Muan County, stated, "Organic fertilizers are extremely important for creating healthy soil, which is a key foundation for sustainable agriculture," and added, "We hope many farmers will apply within the deadline to receive the support benefits."
