Jeonbuk Province will hold the 11th Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Happiness Sharing Childcare Festival on November 15 at Yeopsun Neighborhood Park and the Gijije area in Jeonju Innovation City.

This family-centered participatory festival encourages parents and children to spend time together and share the value of happy parenting through the “Slow Run (Walking),” where families walk and jog at a relaxed pace.

The event will include an opening ceremony, orientation and warm-up exercises, the Family Happiness Slow Run, activity booths, art performances, and a raffle draw.

In particular, the “Family Happiness Slow Run” consists of two courses: a 1-kilometer course for infants and a 3-kilometer course for young children. Along the routes, a variety of family-friendly programs will be offered, such as a nature-themed treasure hunt, family photo certification shots, and family mission challenges. Families who complete the course will receive commemorative medals and gift bags.

Additionally, for families not participating in the Slow Run, various side programs will be available, including the Family Fun Fun Experience Zone, the Mind ON Parent Counseling Zone, and the Family Love Performance Stage, creating a festive atmosphere where all generations can come together.

Yang Sumi, Director of Social Welfare Policy for the province, said, “I hope this childcare festival will be a precious time for parents and children to walk, laugh, and share family happiness together,” adding, “We will continue to actively support the spread of a healthy and warm family-friendly culture that residents can truly experience.”
