Anseong Launches Full-Scale Winter Disaster Response System

The city plans to allocate 114 million won from special grants to provide 15 snow removal machines, including small snow brushes, to towns and districts, and has stockpiled 5,593 tons of eco-friendly deicing agents to prepare for heavy snowfalls.

For 13 sections that are prone to frequent icing, the city will operate automatic snow removal systems. In addition, it has introduced a GPS-based control system to monitor snow removal vehicles in real time, thereby completely overhauling its snow removal operations.

To ensure a swift initial response to heavy snowfall, the city has expanded the number of snow removal forward bases from five to seven by adding two new locations in Baeti and Okjeong, strengthening tailored responses for each area.

To support vulnerable groups, the city will operate 489 warming shelters and provide winter supplies such as heated mats and blankets.

Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong, stated, "We will prioritize citizen safety and further refine our response system, focusing our administrative resources to ensure a winter without inconvenience."
