This exhibition is a 'SIAL' brand event, recognized as one of the world's top three food exhibitions. Each year, more than 1,500 companies from over 40 countries participate, and the event attracts over 90,000 visitors, making it the largest food-focused exhibition in Southeast Asia.

With a significant presence of global food buyers and distributors, the exhibition is considered an important gateway for entering overseas markets.

Yeongju City is operating two joint booths at this exhibition together with four leading local companies: Punggi Ginseng Agricultural Cooperative, Punggi Specialty Agricultural Association Corporation, Rasam Agricultural Corporation, and Buseong Agricultural Corporation. The participating companies plan to directly promote the quality and competitiveness of Yeongju’s agricultural specialties to local consumers and buyers through product promotions and tasting events featuring regional specialties such as red ginseng and wild ginseng.

In addition, the city will actively seek to expand sales channels and discover new business partners in Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asian market through buyer meetings and export consultations.

This overseas exhibition participation is being carried out with a total budget of 40 million won (20 million won from the provincial government and 20 million won from the city government), aiming to strengthen the export competitiveness and global recognition of Yeongju’s agricultural specialties.

Kang Maeyoung, Head of the Distribution Support Division, stated, "This exhibition is a great opportunity to directly promote the excellence of Punggi ginseng and red ginseng products, which represent Yeongju, to the world," adding, "We will continue to actively pursue various export support activities to pioneer promising overseas markets in the future."
