Purchased 244m² Unit in Lucid House, Hannam-dong
No Mortgage Registered... Presumed All-Cash Transaction
Views of Han River and Namsan Mountain, Only 15 Households
Jang Wonyoung (21), a member of the group IVE, has purchased a luxury villa in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, entirely with cash.
According to Korea Economic TV and the Supreme Court’s online registry on November 12, Jang Wonyoung bought a 244-square-meter unit in Lucid House, located in UN Village, Hannam-dong, for 13.7 billion won on March 31. She completed the registration of ownership on October 31.
Given that there is no mortgage recorded in the registry, it is presumed that the purchase was made entirely with cash. The seller was Lee Jiyong, former CEO of Daelim Trading.
Lucid House has been considered one of the most luxurious villas within UN Village, with initial sale prices exceeding 4 billion won when it was first launched in 2007. The property offers panoramic views of both the Han River and Namsan, consists only of large units such as 85 and 94 pyeong, and has just 15 households across two buildings, making it highly exclusive. It is also praised for its privacy features, including a 24-hour security system and private elevators.
Lucid House is also well-known as the former residence of actress Kim Taehee before her marriage. Kim Taehee purchased a unit there for approximately 4.3 billion won in 2012 and sold it for 6.4 billion won in 2018, earning a profit of 2 billion won over six years.
Born in 2004, Jang Wonyoung debuted in 2021 as a member of IZ*ONE and is currently the center of IVE, recognized for her outstanding visuals and talent. She is active as a commercial model for more than 20 brands, including cosmetics, fashion, banking, beverages, shampoo, and pizza. IVE, the group to which Jang Wonyoung belongs, is loved by global fans for hit songs such as "Love Dive," "I AM," and "Attitude."
