Innovative Technologies in Future Industries such as Artificial Intelligence and Mobility All in One Place

From November 12 to 14, Ulsan City will host the "WAVE 2025 Ulsan World Future Industry Expo" at UECO, under the theme "Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Future of Ulsan's Industries."

Now in its second year, this expo is the largest future industry exhibition in Ulsan, integrating the city’s core industries with advanced technologies. It is considered a key event that will help define the direction of the region’s industrial development.

The expo is co-hosted by Ulsan City and the Coexistence Cooperation Committee, with six organizations-including the Ulsan Foundation for Culture and Tourism, Ulsan Technopark, and Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency-jointly organizing the event.

A total of 430 companies will participate, operating 460 booths. The event will showcase innovative technologies across five major future industry sectors: mobility, smart factories (advanced automated factories), eco-friendly energy, secondary batteries, and artificial intelligence (AI).

In addition to the exhibition, there will be export and purchasing consultations, an international forum, and various side events, allowing participants to directly experience industrial changes and the latest technologies.

Notably, global companies representing Ulsan-including HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Motor Company, SK Energy, S-Oil, Samsung SDI, Korea Zinc, and LS MnM-will participate on a large scale, presenting world-class technologies such as collaborative robots, floating offshore wind power, and secondary battery material technologies.

During the event, the third-floor convention hall will host a series of forums, including the 5th Ulsan International Hydrogen Energy Forum, the Ulsan AI Industry Development Conference, and the U-Battery Tech Forum, providing a platform to share international trends in future energy and the AI industry.

Programs for students and citizens have also been significantly expanded. These include a special lecture by the author of Trend Korea 2026, a preview of CES 2026, a talk concert by science YouTuber "Gwido," and a special lecture by Lee Sedol, invited by the Ulsan National Institute RISE Project Team. These programs aim to make the transition to AI and future industries accessible and engaging.

For the convenience of visitors from other regions, shuttle buses will operate. The route between KTX Ulsan Station and UECO will run every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and during lunchtime, the route will be extended to local dining areas such as Alps Market, allowing visitors to experience Ulsan’s signature cuisine.

Additionally, an on-site registration program for tours of Bangudae Petroglyphs will be available, highlighting Ulsan’s unique blend of industry and culture.

The opening ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on November 13 in the convention hall (3rd floor), with around 500 attendees. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) will also be signed to foster the AI semiconductor-based AI industry in Ulsan.

Through this expo, Ulsan City expects to achieve a range of outcomes, including helping local companies expand into overseas markets, promoting Ulsan’s advanced technologies, and laying the groundwork for establishing Ulsan as the capital of artificial intelligence (AI).

Mayor Kim Du-gyeom stated, "This will be an important opportunity to accelerate our leap toward becoming a future industrial city and to share the vision of AI-driven industrial transformation with our citizens. We will make sure that Ulsan’s industrial brand value is recognized worldwide."
