Transaction Volume Surpasses 13 Trillion Won for the First Time

NHN KCP achieved its highest-ever quarterly operating profit in the third quarter.
On November 10, NHN KCP announced that its consolidated revenue for the third quarter reached 317.5 billion won, with operating profit at 15.8 billion won. Compared to the same period last year, revenue increased by 17%, and operating profit surged by 79%.
Total transaction volume also reached a record high of 13.3 trillion won, up 10% from the previous year. Transaction volume from overseas merchants, totaling 2.5 trillion won, drove this growth. Transaction volume from overseas merchants rose by 58% year-on-year.
By business segment, the online payment division posted revenue of 285.3 billion won and operating profit of 15.9 billion won, representing increases of 11% and 62% respectively compared to the same period last year.
Payments from large domestic and international merchants increased, with significant growth in the imported car and travel sectors. In the third quarter, new business achievements were also reflected, including the expansion of the Global Trade Payment Platform (GTPP) to overseas sites, the launch of the prepaid business, and the growth of overseas payment agency services.
The offline payment division recorded revenue of 28.3 billion won and returned to profitability. Standalone revenue increased due to the consolidation effect of Korea Credit Card Payment, the distribution of consumer coupons to boost livelihoods, and a rise in domestic foreign tourist numbers.
An NHN KCP representative stated, "With the results of new businesses becoming visible and year-end seasonal consumption expected, we believe we can continue to grow our performance steadily. We will also strengthen our future growth engines by preparing new businesses based on stablecoins."
