Popular F&B Outlets and Golf Practice Range Drive Increase in Customers in Their 20s to 40s, Strengthening Repositioning Efforts

This renovation marks the first major remodeling in approximately 24 years since the sports center opened in 2001. It demonstrates Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch's commitment to establishing itself as a leading multi-cultural lifestyle space in the region, moving beyond a shopping-focused venue.
The new sports center focuses on creating a luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere. Spanning a total area of 860 pyeong (approximately 2,843 square meters), it features European-inspired interior design and differentiated concepts for each zone, offering customers a fresh experience.
The "Grand Salon" (lobby) serves as a private customer lounge, providing spaces for relaxation and consultation. The "Park Dwi Ciel" (swimming pool) is a spacious pool area designed to maximize natural light. The "Atelier" (fitness area) consists of training and free-weight zones, while the "Chapel" (spa & powder room) offers amenities on par with those found in luxury hotels.

The fitness area is equipped with the latest exercise machines from Technogym, a globally recognized Italian luxury brand, to provide a high-quality workout environment. In addition, customers can benefit from personalized training and wellness care programs based on clinical therapy, tailored to their physical condition and lifestyle.
Starting next year, the center plans to expand its services to offer an integrated management program that covers exercise, recovery, nutrition, and sleep, further advancing its existing wellness care offerings.
This sports center renovation is part of Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch’s strategy to become a "lifestyle multi-cultural space." As large-scale new apartment complexes continue to be built in the Dongnae District, attracting a younger demographic, the branch is accelerating its transformation into a venue that combines shopping, sports, culture, and relaxation.
In line with this, the Dongnae Branch has introduced trendy cafes, food and beverage outlets, and lifestyle brands such as Olive Young through the renovation. The seventh floor now features a large indoor golf practice range, GDR, strengthening its leisure content offerings. As a result of these changes, the proportion of customers in their 20s to 40s has increased to about 40%, and this is expected to grow even further with the sports center renewal.
Lee Sangwon, Store Manager of Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch, stated, "This premium sports center renovation is more than just an upgrade of our facilities; it marks the beginning of supporting the local community with a space for lifestyle and connection. Moving forward, Dongnae Branch will continue to provide new experiences and value to customers as a multi-cultural space that integrates shopping, culture, and health."
