Na Kyungwon Strongly Criticizes: "Country on the Brink Because of Criminal President"

"Democratic Party Launches 'National Dismantling Project' Through Rebellion Accusations"
"Abandonment of Daejang-dong Appeal: Need for Thorough Investigation Into Presidential Office Involvement"

Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party, claimed, "The Democratic Party, which controls the legislature and administration, is undermining the foundations of the nation, including the military, prosecution, and judiciary, through accusations of rebellion," and further argued, "The prosecution abandoned its appeal in order to block the investigation into President Lee Jaemyung's crimes."

On the previous day, the 8th, Na posted on her social media, "Thirty military generals have been ousted, and a Rebellion Liquidation Task Force has been formed to root out public officials. This is an attempt to dismantle the conservative opposition party through rebellion indictments." She continued, "The left-wing Democratic Party forces have long called for the dismantling of the existing order," and criticized, "After dismantling the prosecution and undermining corporate, economic, and fiscal order, now a 'national dismantling project' is underway to eliminate the courts, military, public officials, and even the conservative opposition party." She added, "A society is being created where the existing order is completely destroyed and those who do not show loyalty are singled out. Under the name of rebellion liquidation, a climate of fear is taking hold in politics and the media. A totalitarian state where silence becomes the norm-this is the end of democracy," she strongly condemned.

Na also pointed out the prosecution's recent decision not to appeal the first trial verdict in the Daejang-dong development corruption case, saying, "At last, the prosecution has abandoned its appeal in the Daejang-dong development corruption investigation, which could lead to President Lee Jaemyung's crimes. This is something that should never happen." She emphasized, "What is shocking is that senior officials at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office and Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office blocked the investigation team's submission of an appeal under improper orders. This is a clear abuse of authority, dereliction of duty, and an obstruction of an investigation involving those in power. This is an issue that must be investigated immediately as prosecutorial misconduct."

She further stressed, "We must uncover who, why, and under whose orders the appeal was blocked, and also determine whether the Presidential Office was involved. The relevant standing committees, such as the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee and the Steering Committee, must hold urgent inquiries to hold those responsible accountable."

At the end of her post, Na added, "The country is going mad. Because of a criminal president, the Republic of Korea now stands at the edge of a cliff."

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office did not appeal the first trial verdict for Yoo Donggyu, former head of the Seongnam Development Corporation, and Kim Manbae, a private developer in the Daejang-dong case, who were indicted on charges of aggravated breach of trust under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. The Supreme Prosecutors' Office reportedly considered an appeal at one point, but the Ministry of Justice expressed the view that it was unnecessary, leading to a decision to prohibit the appeal.

On November 6, President Lee approved the third extension of the investigation period for Special Prosecutor Cho Eunseok's team, which is investigating charges of rebellion and treason related to the December 3 Martial Law Incident. As a result, the special prosecutor's investigation will continue until December 14.
