Hallym University Global Social Contribution Research Institute
Recruiting Volunteers Until the 17th
The Hallym University Global Social Contribution Institute (President Choi Yanghee) is recruiting volunteers until the 17th for the 'KOICA Project Volunteer Group - School Sanitation and Hygiene Environment Improvement Project in Chuy Province, Kyrgyzstan,' which is being carried out in cooperation with the domestic NGO Global Sharing Movement (CEO Kim Hyekyung).
The KOICA Project Volunteer Group is one of the overseas volunteer programs operated by KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency). By combining KOICA’s development cooperation expertise with private sector know-how, it offers Korean youth opportunities for ODA work experience and enables them to contribute to solving development challenges in partner countries as a youth-centered overseas volunteer group.
This volunteer group will be dispatched to two schools in Chuy Province, Kyrgyzstan (Toktogul Satylganov School and Voyenno Antonovka School), where they will support the renovation of school health and hygiene facilities, provide health and hygiene education for students and local residents, and help establish sustainable hygiene management systems.
The total activity period is approximately four months, from March to July 2025, including one month of domestic training followed by overseas dispatch. Selected volunteers will receive round-trip airfare, local living expenses, and a resettlement allowance upon return.
Detailed information on recruitment and how to apply can be found on the KOICA Volunteer Group website.
Meanwhile, the Hallym University Global Social Contribution Institute, established in 2013, is a specialized research institution for global cooperation. Together with faculty members in various fields such as international development cooperation, Korean language education, climate change, social economy, sustainable urban development, and migration & multiculturalism, it carries out ODA (Official Development Assistance) projects.
