In celebration of "Fire Safety Awareness Month," which is being observed for one month starting in November, the Masan Fire Station in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam Province, will host the "Children's Fire Safety Poster Contest" organized by the Changwon Fire Headquarters for children in the Changwon area.
This contest will run from November through the end of December and aims to raise awareness among children about the importance of fire prevention and to enhance their sense of safety.
The Masan Fire Station will accept entries from elementary school students in the area until November 24. After a preliminary review, the Masan Fire Station Chief's Award and additional prizes will be presented. Two top-scoring works will be recommended for the final review by the Changwon Fire Headquarters, giving those students a chance to receive the Changwon Mayor's Award.
Participants must submit one original artwork and one application form, either by mail or by visiting their local fire station.
Jang Changmoon, Chief of the Masan Fire Station, stated, "I hope this becomes an opportunity for children to naturally learn the importance of fire prevention through drawing," adding, "We will continue to promote various safety education and awareness activities tailored to children's perspectives in the future."
