High Marks for Initiatives Such as the "Public-Private-Academic One Team Carbon Neutral Project"
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on November 5 that it has been selected as an excellent institution in the '2025 Local Government Carbon Neutral Point System Evaluation' organized by the Ministry of Climate Environment and Energy.
This evaluation, conducted for 208 basic local governments nationwide, assessed three categories: the number of participants in the system, the amount of greenhouse gas reduction, and efforts to promote the system.

In the evaluation, Yongin City received high marks for its efforts to foster a culture of carbon neutrality through initiatives such as the 'Public-Private-Academic One Team Carbon Neutral Project' joint agreement, the Carbon Neutral Green Complex Contest, and the implementation of a carbon emission reduction program for public officials.
The city plans to present its best practices and explain its policies at the '2025 Carbon Neutral Point System Workshop' to be held in Seoul on the 25th.
Lee Sangil, Mayor of Yongin City, stated, "We will continue to develop policies that encourage participation in the Carbon Neutral Point System not only in citizens' daily lives, but also across various sectors such as industry and transportation."
