Geochang County Achieves Top Distribution Rate in South Gyeongsang for Second Round of "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon"

Contributing to Livelihood Stability and Revitalizing the Local Economy

Geochang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on November 4 that it achieved a final distribution rate of 98.9% for the second round of the "Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon," ranking first in the province.

From September 22 to October 31, the county completed the second round of the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon distribution, providing coupons to 55,815 out of 56,388 eligible residents. As a result, Geochang County achieved the highest final distribution rate among the 18 cities and counties in South Gyeongsang Province.

Geochang County also ranked first in the province during the first round of distribution, with a final rate of 99.5%. By securing first place for both rounds, the county has been recognized as an exemplary local government in supporting livelihood recovery, making significant efforts to revitalize the local economy in line with government policy.

This achievement was made possible through proactive administration at 11 township administrative welfare centers, including Geochang-eup, which served as the primary distribution points for the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon. The county implemented a range of measures to provide convenience for residents with mobility issues and the elderly, and to achieve early distribution targets. These measures included operating service counters on weekends and at night, setting up special on-site counters during the Geochang Hanmadang Grand Festival, offering mobile application services, active support from village leaders, and sending out application notices to those who had not yet applied.

Geochang County expects that a total of 18.4 billion won in consumption coupons distributed and used in the first and second rounds will play a significant role in stabilizing the livelihood economy and protecting small business owners, thereby serving as a catalyst for revitalizing the local economy.

County Governor Ku Inmo stated, "Following our first-place ranking in the first round, we have once again achieved the highest distribution rate among all 18 cities and counties in South Gyeongsang Province for the second round as well. This accomplishment was made possible thanks to the active participation of our residents and the dedicated efforts of all public officials in Geochang County," expressing his gratitude.

Meanwhile, the consumption coupons must be used by November 30, 2025. Any unused balance after the deadline will be automatically forfeited.
