This youth camp, taking place throughout Goseong County, is designed to foster a proper understanding of history and to emphasize the importance of peace and the environment through hands-on experiences. The program will be organized into three groups, each rotating through courses by region, including security tourism sites, the Hwajinpo tourist area, and Wangok Village.

The camp will be held twice in total. The first session will take place on October 30, with 84 students from Seongdong-gu, Eunpyeong-gu, and Nowon-gu in Seoul participating. The second session will be held on November 6, with about 80 students from Goseong County in Gangwon Province, as well as Gwangmyeong and Anyang in Gyeonggi Province.

On the first day, under the theme "A Small Peace Within Me, Peace Begins Here," students will participate in beachcombing, plogging activities, and an exploration of Songjiho. On the second day, under the theme "The Ongoing Pain of War and Division," participants will visit the DMZ Peace Road, the Unification Observatory, and the Hwajinpo area.

With a total of approximately 200 students and staff participating in the three-day, two-night camp, it is expected that visits to local accommodations, tourist sites, and restaurants will also contribute to the regional economy.

A county official stated, "We hope this camp will provide time for young people to appreciate the value of peace and nature through proper historical awareness and experiential peace education, and that they will create happy memories in Goseong."
