The participants visited Yeosu's major tourist sites such as Jinnamgwan, Yi Sun-sin Square, and the Yeosu World Expo Center. They also experienced the marine cable car and a cruise, enjoying the charm of Yeosu's night sea and directly witnessing the city's tourism competitiveness.
In particular, during the familiarization tour, a 'Yeosu Tourism and MICE Attraction Briefing Session' was held, providing an in-depth introduction to Yeosu's various infrastructure, including accommodation, transportation, and event venues, as well as support systems for attracting MICE events.
The participating travel agencies showed great interest in Yeosu's potential as a destination for large-scale group events such as international conferences and incentive tours, and explored possibilities for future cooperation through Q&A sessions with local officials.
Through this familiarization tour, the city plans to actively support the development of tourism products to attract group tourists from Asia in 2026 and strengthen its cooperation network with local travel agencies.
A city official stated, "Recently, with the introduction of visa-free entry for Chinese group tourists, interest in traveling to Korea among Asian tourists has been increasing," and added, "We hope that this familiarization tour will serve as a real opportunity to expand the attraction of overseas tourists."
